Teacher Video Reflection Assignment

Teacher Video Reflection framework from the Best Foot Forward project.

Please watch your video, and take notes about what you see.

Next, use the framework (linked above) to help you write a reflective analysis of the teaching in your video.

In your reflective analysis, we expect you to focus on a single goal, cite a piece of evidence relevant to that goal, explain why that evidence is important, provide context about the classroom interactions, connect your classroom interactions to broader teaching principles (such as NCTM’s Principles to Actions or the T-TESS framework), and write some “next steps” based on this evidence.

The framework mentions using two videos, but for our purposes, you may use one.

9/9 MASH Meeting CANCELLED

I hope that you are recovering from Hurricane Harvey and all that it brought.
In light of what has happened, the MASH Follow-up Meeting scheduled for Saturday, September 9, has been CANCELLED. Our next meeting will be Saturday, October 14, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Instead of meeting as group, I am sending you some important information by e-mail as well as posting here.
1. The books from NCTM have arrived for the participants that joined us this summer. We will distribute these at our October meeting.
2. The administrator of the Teacher Quality Grants Program advised me that it was too late in the grant timeline to purchase iPads for participants, and recommended that I increase your stipend and ask you to purchase your own iPad. I will send a separate e-mail with instructions on when you can expect a deposit of $450, and what type of iPad to purchase and bring to our October meeting.
3. We are still waiting for your orders from ETA hand2mind to arrive. I expect to deliver them to you at the October meeting.
4. Dr. Hollas and Dr. Jones will be contacting you with you to schedule classroom observations. Additionally, you will also be contacted by the observers working with TCU for a classroom observation.
I hope that you are able to find something productive and/or relaxing to do with your Saturday. 🙂
Expect an e-mail from us later this month with more details about money for an iPad and classroom observations.
